Hey everyone, This weekend is going to be epic. Starting Friday morning, We'll have Colin Delaney and Johnny Kayfabe on 95.1 The Fox at 9am. That's Brother Wease for the new people to Rochester. Then, that night we have a Woody's II Pre-Party which will have many of the NWA Upstate personalities in attendance. I'll be attending Saturday's and Sunday's events however, which will be including some good old fashioned wrestling. Cheech vs. Cloudy  Who will win: Neither How: Double Count out Why: I've got a hunch that these boys put a night's worth of dishes on the line for whoever wins this match. I don't think either will have the advantage considering they know each others style's so well. (Guys, in my opinion a standard Tie up is trumped by a Flippy-Do any day)Mo Mantha defends his newly won No Limits Title  Who will win: Mantha How: Decimating whoever steps into the ring Why: "The Montgomery Madman" is on a roll after defeating his nemesis, Gabe Saint. I don't like the chances of whoever is clambering for the belt at this point. Return of Rhythm and Booze These Gentlemen, hailing from the south, have got a lot of explaining to do to myself. I want to know where in 'tarnation have they been? I'm glad to have these guys back.
Gabe Saint plans to confront Jimmy Olsen "Man to Man"This segment will be classic. Gabe will be able to rundown Jim with his smooth talking, but Jim will be ready for that. Little Guido (Nunzio) vs. Colin Delaney  Who's Gonna Win?: Lil' Guido(Currently going by Guido Maritato) How?: Submission Why?: "The Sicilian Shooter" has been wrestling for a very long time. I mean 18 years is nothing to sneeze at. "The Extremely Cute Wrestler" Colin Delaney has been barely alive and walking for those 18 years, so in my humblest opinion (save interference of any kind from Colin's friends) Lil' Guido has this match all wrapped up.  The Star Foundation (Star Rider, Lionel Knight, & Platinum) vs. "Fabulous" John McChesney, VSK, & Zakk Atticus  Who's Gonna Win?: "Fabulous" John McChesney, VSK, & Zakk Atticus How?: Zakk pins Platinum Why?: All involved will have their asses handed to them. McChesney will be beaten down by Lionel Knight. With McChesney taken down, Star Rider will get in a dirty attack, which would be countered by VSK only to have VSK be taken out by Platinum. Now Platinum wouldn't see Atticus and Krieger(The Wonder Twins) in the ring to hit a tag team finisher. Zakk pins Platinum.(Mind you it probably won't go exactly like that...) Gabreal Saint vs. Isys Ephex  Who's Gonna Win: Gabreal Saint How?: Pinfall (Frog Splash) Why?: Gabe needs a big win here if he's going to be considered as a contender for which ever title he plans on going after. I could easily see him going for his No-Limits belt, but the big leagues could be calling his name at this point. I have a good feeling that Gabe will take down Ephex (and take another shot to 2CW)  The Star Foundation Special: An Open Challenge against Romeo Roselli  Who's Going to Answer: To this I have no clue. It could be a rookie from the back(Superbad?) or some unannounced big name (His Ex-WWE mate and former Heartthrob?). Who's Going to Win: Well whoever plans on answering the call will be at an advantage here. Reviewing tapes and scouting goes without saying. Depending on the career years that this particular person has, I say he wins or loses by experience alone.  2CW Heavyweight Title Match:
NWA Upstate's Jimmy Olsen (c) vs. 2CW's Slyck Wagner Brown  Who's Gonna Win?: Slyck Wagner Brown How: Pinfall Why: Olsen's cocky attitude has been following him around the locker room like a douche-bag wingman. Currently the holder of the competition's Heavyweight(and from my understanding ONLY) title, Jimmy has kept his name in the Main Event of 2CW for awhile now. Slyck is the most popular wrestler of the roster for 2CW and was arguably the best wrestler in the state for a time. I humbly disagree with this (my pick was Jimmy Olsen), but that's not my place to decide. A barn-burner of a match that will be hopefully contained in the ring this time so I don't have to follow them around!  Anything Goes Rochester Street Fightfor NWA Upstate Tag Team Titles:
Triple X/ Hellcat (c) w/ Johnny Kayfabe vs. McCloud Brothers  Who's Gonna Win?: McClould Brothers. How: Pinfall(Kyle on Star/Hellcat) Why: A HUGE feud ready to have it's final showdown. In my opinion, the McClouds have this final chance to grab back what was really theirs in the first place. A terrible ref and that pipsqueak, pencil neck geek: Johnny Kayfabe would disagree. The McClouds have been hankerin' to get a bigger piece of these two since the last show where they refused to tag into the triple threat title match. I don't expect this to be real technical folks. However, if there will be blood it will most likely be here and not in the Cage. You never know who's gonna hit who with what. I see this ending quickly with a nasty Boston Massacre. The McClouds for the win.
Steel Cage Match for NWA Upstate Heavyweight Title:
Danny Doring (c) vs. Pepper Parks  Who's Gonna Win: "The Patrick Swayze of Professional Wrestling" Pepper Parks How: Escaping over the top of the cage.  Why: Because I wanna see it! Seriously though, I think Pep's pep towards this match is at a career high. His top rope Pepper Shaker on Delaney last time around showed Doring what his fate just might be. Danny's not exactly something to just push aside however. His cocky demeanor and generally bad attitude towards the NWA Upstate fans are exactly what Parks needs to be the perfect foil for him in this feud and match. Danny's held the belt for over a year now. I have to give Kudos to the man for holding the title for so long. His reign is by far one of the longest in NWA Upstate history. It's rare in the world of professional wrestling today to see a champion go for more than 6 months with the strap around his waist. Side Note:

The Backseat Boyz."I've never seen the Backseat Boyz in action, but from what I've heard, they're a very popular tag team from a few years back that need to be re-introduced into the Tag Team division here at Upstate. I'm excited. Gunnar's Thoughts: Dear lord, this card is stacked to the brim with great matches and amazing personalities to entertain everyone. This huge card should keep any and all wrestling fans extremely entertained. I highly suggest showing up to this card and forkin' over the dough necessary to get into this event. We usually don't see such high quality independent wrestling in these parts, unless it's an NWA Upstate show. Expect a plethra of interviews, comments, and the Post-Show for this event.See you this weekend...
