Hey Everybody,

Been awhile since I've been able to do one of these articles and from what I've been told it'll be the first that's posted on the new website. I'm so excited about our merging with our brothers from down the thruway in the Albany area. Representing the whole state of New York under one banner is a very intelligent decision on the part of Chip Stetson. Lets get into NWA NY's first event at the German House!

NWA NY Heavyweight Title Match

Pepper Parks VS Danny Doring

How: Pepper, Finally. After a Chip Stetson pinfall count.

What Will Happen: A rematch from Anniversary Anarchy V. We'll get another chapter in what some are calling an 'epic feud' between these two warriors. Danny Doring, by the time September 5th rolls around, will have held the title for X amount of days. The only champions I can think of that have held a title belt for that long in recent memory would be the Honkey Tonk Man, John Cena, and Nigel McGuinness. Now I'm not going to bombard you with cliches like 'All good things must end' or 'time to pass the torch' or even 'Doring's time is up', but what I will say is this;

Pepper Parks, NWA NY Heavyweight Champion.

Colin Delaney VS Gabe Saint

Who Will Win: Gabe Saint

How:Pinfall

What will happen: Colin must be getting greedy after all that 'big time' money dried up. Gunning after "The Bull of Black Mountain" shouldn't come as a surprise to most of the NWA NY faithful. Gabe has been nothing but red hot coming into "Beatdown". I dare say, he might not have a loss until someone can cash that $10,000 dollars in. Mind you, I have NO idea who put that bounty on his head so anyone Gabe has a match with until the bounty is called off is a suspect in my mind.

NWA NY Tag Team Title Match
TripleX & Hellcat VS Ring Crew Express

Who Will Win: Ring Crew Express

How: Pinfall (Marcos on Triple X)

What will happen: The team of Hellcat and Triple X have been dominating the tag division since they robbed the McClouds of the belts almost a year ago. A handful of defenses later and the tag team division is a completely different scene. With the return of Rhythm and Booze and Ring Crew Express, the rise of the Young and the Wrestlers with their manager "Superbad" Richard Venice, and the ever-present Cloudlee, The McClouds and the Carribean Connection,  I'd say our tag teams are one of the main points of NWA NY. Mind you, I keep waiting for Super Assassin to get back at Triple X for abandoning him last year.

This match however, I believe that Dunn and Marcos will have their air guitars strumming at the end, using the tag gold as the bases of course.

Cheech VS Bobby Fish
Who will Win: Bobby Fish

How: questionable circumstances into a pinfall

What Will Happen: A GREAT match to stick in the middle of this card. Bobby has been around for a bit on the indy scene, recently making more frequent stops to NWA NY. Last time I saw him, he claimed that he needed his ninja body guard to protect his trophy after winning some prestigous tournament. He's big in Japan apparently. Cheech on the other hand, is really big here. One of the traditional fan favorites to come out of Rochester. Bobby will play dirty to get the win, and hopes no one notices.

The Mcclouds VS Cloudlee

Who Will Win:Cloudlee

How: J-Break to Evan McCloud (Pin)

What will happen:Weren't I just talking about the tag team division a second ago? Four men who know a NWA ring like the back of their hand, these guys will put on a hell of a match. However, Brodie Lee and Cloudy have both been itching for a win since losing two straight to Rhythm and Booze at each of the County Fairs. Expect a big and dominant Brodie Lee taking Evan McCloud's head off for the 1,2,3.

Final Thoughts:

This particular card will be a pretty special one for myself. I'll have been around the NWA (Upstate) NY group for about a year now. I'm looking forward to what lies ahead for myself heere and in the world of professional wrestling. I'd like to thank Paul McClemens for being there and the NWA Upstate/NY management for letting me do this.

The card will probably have the MOTN going to Danny vs. Pepper. "The Patrick Swayze of Professional Wrestling" might as well have Danny's move set memorized with the amount of ring time he's had with him since the beginning of the year. The tag team matches will be stellar as always and I'm guessing we'll see a good Rochester Rumble and/or Dewey match.

What I'm really looking forward to is the Upstate 8. Last year, Jimmy "Jam" Olsen stole the show from Slyck Wagner Brown and won the whole damn thing. Who's it going to be this year? It's my favorite show, expect the best.
